Under his cool exterior, Frank’s a big softie. He moved from Seattle to Hawaii in 1985, met and married a local girl and started a (four-legged) family. He reserves Sundays for long walks on the beach with his wife and “kids,” terrier Sammi and beagle Benson. And he’s a recycling addict who can’t throw away a single can or bottle.
